THE PORTRAIT PROCESS

John ideally likes to have two sittings of no more than one hour each.
John can create from photographs alone but this in not the best way to capture
the essence and allow the artist to interpret his view.
The sittings can be at the gallery in Stratford town centre or if preferred at the artists home studio.
The first session is to set out the piece, look at poses and capture the basic drawing and colouring.
John then in his studio completes the basic drawing/painting before the final sitting
one week later.
The final session again at the gallery or studio is to finalise the work and make any adjustments before
sealing, varnishing and framing of the completed artwork
THE GUARANTEE
In common with most professional portrait artists John accepts payment only when when the client
is happy with the finished portrait.
